For this project Highlight, we go back to 2006 when in Zeeland (Netherlands) Prolyte’s Space Roof System was used in the first edition of the very well-known Concert at SEA.
The main stage is in total 55 meters wide and 20 meters deep, constructed from Layher scaffolding material and Prolyte Probeam profiles. The space frame construction is supported by 8 towers made from our CT-type aluminum trusses.
Prolyte’s Space Roof system has a large span and an extremely high load capacity. The space grid is equipped with an inflatable rooftop that ensures efficient water drainage. Our roof systems have in common that they can bear heavy roof loads. Each setup requires its own set of requirements such as size, maximum roof load, and shape.
It’s no doubt that the Concert at SEA is more than at a normal music festival. A few years ago, it was thought it would be fun to turn Concert at SEA into a two-day festival; the idea worked out very well and the festival has really become a destination with more people choosing to stay in Zeeland for a few days.
From the 1st edition, @InterStage supplies all constructions for this beautiful festival site.
Prolyte brings something new every year. Founded in 1991 in Leek, Netherlands, Prolyte has quickly become famous around the world due to its in-house expertise and being one step ahead of the competition with a new mentality and new energy: “Prolyte. Feel Fantastic.”
